I WANNA THRIFT WITH YOU emerged after Jessie and Jessica found themselves thrifting together on a weekly basis. Addicted to the dopamine hit of finding the perfect piece and appreciating the uniqueness in each one, they continued their thrifting journeys. Friends would muse that they wanted to thrift with them but they didn't have the time, the eye, the patience. With Jessie's background in fashion and design and Jessica's love of the treasure hunt, IWTWY was born and launched pop up style in September 2024.
A designer for 20 years and celebrity stylist, Jessie Gainsley Rivera uses her artist's eye to handpick special pieces. Whether it is a Missoni sweatshirt, a blazer from the '80s or a Rugby polo, she is able to see potential, often reimagining each quality piece of fabric into its next incarnation. In addition to co-founding IWTWY, Jessie works as a stylist in Los Angeles and New York, where she preps everything from everyday peeps doing school drop offs to high profile fancy pants events. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son and chihuahua, Minnie.
Jessica Wright Weinstock has been rummaging through thrift stores in Los Angeles since 1991. A recovering actor, she connects with the world through storytelling and searches for those pieces that have stories embedded in their threads. She is drawn to those pieces that are a little weird or a little damaged- just like the dogs she looks to rescue (anyone know of a 3-legged one eyed dog who needs a home?) She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two sons and 2 eyed, 4-legged terrier, Matilda
